Two things really... Firstly, I know I've said this before, but, when I have a new private message, although I have my settings set for the site to email me, it doesn't anymore, and since I posted the last topic, other people have said the same thing to me so I was just wondering if it could please be looked?
Also, I've noticed that, when I click on the private mail link, if I have no mail, it will just say, you have no messages. It won't give me the option to send a message, and I don't get the list of people who are on the site, or anything. The only way I can get out, is to press back. Surely it shouldn't be doing this? Surely I should be getting the option to send a message at least? lol. I should add, it makes no idfference if I click on the private mail link or the link that tells you how many messages you do or don't have. The same thing happen. if you have no mail at all.
I am experiencing the same thing as how you mention when I go to messages. Weird, not even to send...
If you're on the cite when you receive a new private message, you will not receive an email telling you that you have a new private message. That's how it's laid out. If you're off the cite though when you get the private message, and you don't get an email, then we have a problem...as for the rest...well, I shal look into what you all are talking about, and see what can be done. Anyone else experiencing this?
Well, I can't get my email address to change. I never get the email request, and this has been for multiple addresses. Not exactly the same problem, but somewhat related.
Before, I tried to change my e-mail, and it kept repeating itself for a while, but Chris N fixed that...
All I know right now is that it says I have one new private message when, in fact, I have two!
I reported this some times ago Mad Dog. You asked what I was talking about. See the post on can't send from private messages or something. Its the exact problem I have as above.

yeh, i know you won't get the email if you're on the site, i mean when i'm not on here, i don't get email, even though i've set it so i should. i'll log in and happen to notice, but i dont' always, coz i forget to look.
No, It's not just you, I have the same problem with writing a message if I don't have any message.
I have had it happen a couple of times myself
When I click on PRIVATE MAIL: where one is to both Read and Send messages, I get the page that says, "No messages found." That is fine as I understand I have received No messages. The only thing is that I am UNABLE to Send any messages to anyone else or to update my mail preferences as well, though I personally don't want to change anything. It is just that option is not being provided. Connie
i got the same message myself, strange isn't it?
The problem of not getting the page header when you have no messages should now be fixed. Please post if you're still experiencing this problem.
